Welcome to the wonderful ramblings of Max Sterling. Who is Max Sterling, you ask? Well here's a quick background for the curious.
I was introduced to the world of gaming when my uncle brought an Atari 2600 to our home in the year 1984. I was immediately fascinated by the now basic sights of games like Combat and Donkey Kong. That same year my father bought our first home computer. The RadioShack / Tandy Color Computer II; it was that same computer that taught me how to code and play games off cassettes as well as cartridges.
During my later grade school years, I as well as my friends were introduce to the 8-bit era. While my friends had Nintendo Entertainment Systems, I opted for the Sega Master System instead, which introduced me to now immortal classics such as Shinobi, After Burner, Zillion, Space Harrier, and a superior port of Double Dragon.
The 16-bit era and the fighting game arcade evolution consumed my teenage years, owning an SNES and spending countless quarters into classic arcade such as Street Fighter 2, Mortal Kombat, and Killer Instinct.
From the 32-bit era, all the way to the current generation, gaming has been and continues to be a big part of my life. I hope that my ramblings will inspire a younger generation to go back to before their births and explore the superior world of retro gaming and at the same time inspire us "old-timers" to explore the ever growing, complex world of current gen gaming.
Thanks for reading this and enjoy the site.
